JANE MONEY
Artistic Director

Director of Concert, Dorchester Training, Wellesley Friendship and Edward Everett School Choruses

Jane was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she received her earliest training as a singer in the local church choir. She received her Bachelor and Master degrees in music from the University of Auckland, where she was a member of the “University Singers.” She furthered her studies at Stanford University, and Boston University, where she earned a Masters degree in Engineering.

For 15 years, she was the Organist and Choir Director at First Church in Malden, Massachusetts, where she founded a choral scholars program for high school singers. Scholars received a wide variety of instruction, including performance opportunities, piano, music theory, and vocal instruction.

In 1995 Jane co-founded Youth pro Musica, Dorchester, with then YpM Artistic Director, Hazel Somerville, as a pilot program to educate urban young people in choral singing, musicianship and performance. Jane is also the Director of Youth Choirs at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, Wellesley, MA, a choral instructor in the Metropolitan Opera Guild’s Urban Voices program, and a consultant to BCS’ “sister” chorus, “Children’s Voices of Ireland.”
