Lisette Broussard Cummins is a California native who started her career in the entertainment industry but has worked in legal mediation and health care since moving to the City of Boston in 2001. Lisette is an avid follower of politics and is involved in various local political organizations. (Dorchester - first year member)

Jocelyn Heywood

Jocelyn Heywood (Co-Chair and Treasurer) is the Assistant Director of Education Loan Collections at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge and manages the MIT educational loan portfolio for students and employees and counsels students on how to best finance their education. (Randolph - Board Membership 5 years)

Val Kennedy

A veteran business reporter, Val Kennedy’s work has been published by a wide range of news organizations including MarketWatch, The Wall Street Journal,, Reuters, Improper Bostonian, Boston Business Journal and ZDNet. She also has provided on-air commentary for broadcast outlets such as PBS, CBS Radio, Fox Business Network and New England Cable News. A long-time resident of Boston and Milton, Val became immersed in Boston City Singers through her son, who sings with the Dorchester Training Chorus. (Milton - first year member)

Melody Komyeriv

Melody Komyeriv, has been the Director, Communications and Marketing at the Pingree School since 2014. She is also the Principal Director of MQK Creative after serving as the Creative Director of Boston University. Melody has received honors from numerous publication and photography awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) including: Viewbooks and Prospectuses, Silver, 2016, International. Jane Money

Jane Money (Founding Artistic Director) founded Boston City Singers in 1995 as a division of Pro Musica. In 2003, Boston City Singers became a separate chorus and youth development program headquartered in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. Ms. Money holds masters degrees in music from Auckland University in New Zealand; in music education from Trinity College of Music in London; and in engineering (MS) from Boston University. A native of New Zealand, Jane has been a resident of Dorchester for over 25 years. (Dorchester - Board Membership 21 years)

Kimberly O’Loughlin

Kimberly O’Loughlin (Co-Chair) has worked in the real estate field for over 10 years, as both a realtor and as a real estate investor with her own company, B&N Realty. Previously, Kim worked in project management and client service in the internet space, and began her career as a development professional at The Boston Foundation and the WGBH Educational Foundation in Boston. (Milton - Board Membership 3 years)

Carmen Piedad

Carmen Piedad

Carmen Piedad was a seven-year member of Boston City Singers. She is the recipient of a Passion for Action scholarship at Wheelock College, where she plans to further her interest in teaching and social justice. She is the first singer representative on the board of directors. Carmen held leadership positions with Boston City Singers and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and South America as well as touring internationally with Boston City Singers to Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Dr. Mehmet Rona

Dr. Mehmet Rona, a native of Turkey, taught physics at the Naval School in Turkey from 1966 to 1968, and then at Robert College until 1969. He also served as a department chair, Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences Faculty, Vice Rektor, and Acting Rector. He recently retired from his position as the Director of Applied Physics and Modeling at TIAX, Inc. (Retired, Cambridge - Board Membership 9 years)

John Stone

John Stone works for Fidelity Investments in Boston where he is a Portfolio Manager focused on US Equity. He graduated with an M.S. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Johnson School at Cornell University. John lives in Cambridge, MA where his daughters have been enthusiastic members of Boston City Singers’ Cambridge Children’s Chorus division. (Cambridge - Board Membership 2 years)

Charles Tevnan

Charles Tevnan, Esq. is the immediate past chair of Boston City Singers and served in that capacity for six years. He is an attorney with Tevnan|Tevnan in Boston, concentrating his practice on municipal zoning and licensing, business law, real estate matters,estate planning, probate administration, and civil litigation matters. Charlie is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston and Suffolk University Law School, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. (Dorchester - Board Membership 9 years)
