ABOUT US

Boston City Singers unites children and families from all neighborhoods, ethnic, and socio-economic groups through the power of music. BCS was founded in the spring of 1995 as the Dorchester-based satellite division of Newton’s Youth pro Musica, Greater Boston Youth Chorus. After eight years of substantial growth, BCS became a separate nonprofit agency in July 2003.

We provide comprehensive music training to children and youth in Boston’s inner city and neighboring communities. We believe that by exploring the world of singing, our singers develop stronger leadership and teamwork skills, experience the power of self-esteem and self-discipline, and enjoy the beauty of artistic expression.
